Lunar Embrace is about slowing down…turning in…connecting with the moon and it’s pull on our earth and our bodies. I envision this project as a calendar. As you knit, you mark the phases of the moon in sync with the moon itself. Maybe you only work on this during the full moon or maybe only during the new moon. Every 12 rows, you will complete 2 months of lunar phases. In every year, there are 13 lunar months. In this wrap, you will complete 80 lunar cycles which is a little over 6 years.

Yarn A: Main Color: Dimond Laine Elmer: 80% merino/20% Cashmere. 100g/410 yards. Color: Windblown: 4 skeins (or approx 1300 yards/1200 meters).
Yarn B: (contrast color): Dimond Laine Elmer Tweed: 70% merino/30% Cashmere. 50g/200 yards. Color: Farmhouse: 4 skeins (or approx 900 yards/850 meters).

Yarn B: Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the Wool (100% Superwash American Wool) 200 yards. 5 skeins.

Needles:
Two pairs of 3.25 mm/US 3 circular needle, 60-80 cm/24-29 in length or size needed to obtain the correct gauge. 2nd pair is used for grafting.

Notions:
2 stitch markers to mark BOR and beg of chart repeat; tapestry needle.

Gauge:
26 sts x 26 rounds = 10 cm/4 inches over colorwork pattern on 3.25 mm /US 3 needles after blocking.
