Lumi Socks
Snuggly, Cozy and Easy House Socks
The Lumi Socks are inspired by beautiful Sami boots made from either reindeer skin or feltet wool called Nutukkat or Huopikkaat with colourful woven or braided cords and tassels. Lumi means snow in Finnish.
I designed these warm and cozy house socks with a nice toasty high cuff. They are beginner friendly and easy to knit up but also have a few fun details to keep you interested such as a Latvian braid and slipped stitches.

MC: 2 balls of Ístex Álafoss Lopi in Tweed 9974
CC: 1 ball of Ístex Álafoss Lopi (or similar scrap yarn - for the sample I used 2 strands of 9427 Rust léttlopi held together)
I used a 100% wool yarn as the sock is meant for wearing only in the house. If you walk a lot opt for a stronger yarn (possibly with a nylon content), add a felt sole to the sock or some rubber.
