Lumi is a Finnish word for snow. It is also considered as female name here up North, where the snow on the ground light by the moon is all the light you get during darkest winter period.

Lumi shawl is a asymmetric triangle shawl worked from one tip towards opposite long edge. Lovely combination of easy garter stitch stripes and lace sections. The shawl is knitted holding one strand of fingering weight yarn held together with a strand of lace weight mohair. The lace section has both written and charted instruction.

Size: Wing span 170cm and 40cm measured from deepest point.

Lumi on epäsymmetrinen kolmiohuivi, joka neulotaan sivuttain yhdestä kärjestä kohti vastakkaista sivua. Työssä yhdistyvät kauniisti ainaoikein neulotut raidat sekä pitsikuvio. Huivi on neulottu pitäen yhdessä fingering vahvuista villa-alpakka-lankaa sekä lace vahvuista mohairia.
