I get most of my ideas by talking to my little boy, this one’s no exception. We were discussing Halloween costumes, and he wanted to borrow my little sister’s old dinosaur costume, we couldn’t find it, but I decided to come up with my own version in crochet.

He’s a quick pattern to make, it took me around 4 hours from start to finish, including writing the pattern down as I went along. The last round of the hood can be left out, depending on the yarn used, sometimes it needs it sometimes it doesn’t as evident from the pattern testing he underwent. I loved making this little guy, he was a fun departure from the more involved patterns of late, and who doesn’t like a little boy dressed up as a dinosaur?
