Lucy the Valiant
This semi-circular shawl is inspired by Lucy Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. The lace patterns include brocade-like bands that might have appeared on Lucy’s dresses when she was a queen, arrows because she was an excellent archer, and crowns, both because she was a queen and because she loved to play chess.
The pattern is both charted and written.
The pattern uses around 800-850 yards of lace weight yarn.
This pattern was the December 2014 release for the Wooly Wonka Shawl Club.
