Top-down construction with flap heel and an easily-memorized lace pattern. Lace pattern extends onto the heel. Calls for fingering weight sock yarn. Some understanding of charts will be helpful, as the lace pattern is charted (but basic.) This pattern is simple enough for the fledgling sock knitter and interesting enough for the old-hat sock knitters!
