Panels of seed stitch and meandering leaves traced with twisted-stitch ribs and dotted with beads remind one of a dewy cottage garden shaded by a venerable apple tree, enclosed by a wooden fence. A cat smiles from the porch railing.

I love these, with or without beads! I am on my third pair already. The soft lavender ones in the main photo are knit from singles yarn that I dyed with grape juice. I have a whole collection of gorgeous colors in this yarn but they are impossible to photograph well, so I save them to sell at craft and fiber fairs and in my classes. The green version is a very similar yarn in weight and feel, madelinetosh merino light in Lichen. I bought this skein a few years ago, so this color may really be one of a kind…handpaints being what they are. But the celtic look of these wristers in this color enthralls me.

These are really easy to knit, if you know how to yarn over and work slanting double decreases, place beads and work twisted stitches. They go so fast because they are hard to put down. Try knitting them longer or shorter…they would be stunning either way. And because they are fitted to the wrist, they stay put when you want them too, or push up out of your way in a second. I live in this type of wrister in the winter…the perfect computer accessory.
