The Lover’s Cowl uses the beautiful Lover’s Knot (also known as Solomon’s Knot) to create a lovely drapey lace alternating with double crochet sections.

For my sample, I used one ball of WeCrochet’s Stroll Gradient yarn in colorway Prickly Pear. This is a great 1-skein project if you choose a gradient cake, but you can also use any color combinations you’d like to make it your own. You will also need a size F crochet hook and a yarn/tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

The finished project measures approximately 8” when measured across the double crochet section - the lover’s knot sections are intentionally wider - and 56” long, though the cowl has some stretch to it as well.

I have included a video showing how to work the lover’s knot stitch for those of you new to this fun technique!
