This pattern contains no yarn, thread, hook, or gauge suggestions. User comments indicate that crochet thread is a reasonable choice and that worsted yarn makes a large bag.

The first section of the pattern page contains the original text in European crochet terms and below that is an alternate version in American terms. The pattern gives directions only for the front- the back, lining, closure, and strap are up to the crocheter.
