This Dragonpine Designs pattern was designed by Judy T.

This 4” high headband is knit flat in two separate sections. It is seamed at the centre back with mattress stitch to provide double thickness and warmth on cold winter days, then the front is joined with loop through loop seaming. Full instructions are included for this new and unique type of join.

Sizes Available: Small Adult (fits a 22” head), Medium Adult (fits a 23”-24” head)

Gauge: 20 stitches and 25 rows in stockinette; row gauge not critical as length can be adjusted)

Materials Required:
75 meters of each of 2 colours of worsted weight yarn, or 150 meters of worsted weight yarn if using only 1 colour
4.5 mm knitting needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)
4.5 mm crochet hook
2 Lock Ring Stitch markers (the plastic ones that look like a safety pin)
2 lengths of smooth, thin yarn in a contrasting colour (or 2 strands of ravel cord)
