Looking Glass Longies
Lewis Carroll shared with us the surrealism and nonsense that Alice found on the other side of the mirror in “Through the Looking Glass”.
Sometimes we become so used to the normal ways of life we do not see any other way to do things - The LGL pattern takes a look at longie construction from the other side of the mirror, utilising a novel construction technique to craft handknit goodies for your wee explorer.
LGLs are seamless and graft-free, while still featuring a wide and roomy crotch gusset. The pattern covers 5 sizes - from newborn through to extra large, and is written for 3 weight yarns: DK(8ply), Aran(10ply), and Bulky(12ply)….making it one very economical pattern!
The LGL pattern is geared towards the advanced beginner knitter; someone ready to advance on from line by line instruction into a more standard pattern format. Don’t think the pattern is going to leave you in the lurch on the chess board - there is still plenty of assistance available within the pattern should you get stuck wink
As with all my patterns for sale, a cottage license will be available. For a small, one time fee, permission will be granted to knit these longies for sale. Message me for further information
