My Looking Back Blanket came about during our initial lockdown in spring 2020.
I didn’t want to have a lot of ends to sew in, so I chose to use Hopscotch yarn from my stash. It is some of the softest yarn I have ever worked with. I have loved every project I have ever made with it because the yarn itself is so comforting.
You can make this in any Medium Weight Yarn 4 so it will make a good stashbuster project too.
If you do not wish to work continually and would rather change colors in different spots this is easily achieved as the pattern is worked with slip stitch to joins on every round.
I can’t wait to see what your finished blankets look like ♥
The free version of this pattern is available on my ad-monetized blog. There is an ad-free version available too (which includes a stitch diagram/chart for those who prefer working from charts) and you can buy that right from my Ravelry Shop.
Although our Covid journey is not over yet (we head back into lockdown here on Boxing Day for 28-days) and I’m sure the virus still has some nasty surprises in store for us, I am trying to hold fast to the hope that this year has brought about positive changes too.
I hope that when I look back on the year 2020 in years to come, I will remember how we pulled together to unite against a single enemy and how we succeeded.
I hope that we are able to take this year as a lesson and to grow in better ways from the living of it.
