The reason that the for sale pattern will have more options is that I want to keep this free pattern simple and clear to explain. The for sale pattern is a more of when you’re ready to move on to the next level sort of thing. This pattern is written for DK and Aran weight wool and has instructions for a variety of gauges: 8/9/10/11/12 sts per 2” and for each gauge a wide variety of hip sizes is available.

This pattern uses short rows, grafting and picking up stitches. There is no seaming.
