Loli Vest
Please note that this pattern is for confident knitters. Techniques include lace knitting and following charts, double knitting, provisional cast ons and picking up stitches. The format of the pattern is written instructions and lace charts and not step by step video tutorials.
Pretty, light and delicate but with enough coverage to wear with a bra, the Loli vest is a great addition to your summer wardrobe. Dress it up with some smart trousers for the office or drinks, or throw it on over a bikini for a cute beach look. The lace pattern makes for an interesting, fun knit so that both process and result are sure to become a summer hit.

Notes on Sizing
The sizes given are used as guidelines only, make sure to measure yourself and use the measurement (rather than the size) as a guide for what size to knit. The top is designed to have a slim but comfortable fit with a straight cutout at the neck and underarm, softened slightly by the four triangles of pattern that taper into the straps. All sizes have approximately 4-6cm of positive ease. The nature of the stitch and yarn does mean that the garment will stretch with wear so the ease will increase slightly over time. The back length given above refers to the body - the strap will add additional length. The length of the body can be customised by adding or leaving off a pattern repeat.
Notes on Construction
The Loli Vest is worked on circular needles in the round, bottom up. Work in pattern to the armhole. Here, front and back are separated, neck and armholes are bound off and 4 evenly spaced triangles are worked. Finally, the neckband and armholes are picked up and worked in the round. Straps are worked flat in double knit to the required length and joined using Kitchener Stitch at the top of the shoulder.
