Sometimes when you set out to knit a sweater, it decides to become a dress! This top down yoked dress features eyelets and texture, and has a lovely drape both free and belted. The length can be modified as it is knit from the top down.

Shi Bui Knits Yarn Staccato shown in Bordeaux 191 yards, 50g/skein 6 (6, 6, 7) 7 skeins,
approximately 1010 (1040, 1110, 1220) 1320 yards
Shi Bui Knits Yarn Silk Cloud lace weight shown in Bordeaux 330 yards/ 25g/skein 4
(4, 4, 4) 4 skeins, approximately 1010 (1040, 1110, 1220) 1320 yards
YARNS are held together.

Materials
US Size 8 (5.0 mm) circular needles, minimum 20” cord
US Size 9 (5.5 mm) circular needles, minimum 30” cord
US Size 9 DPN’s (optional for sleeves)
Stitch marker
Tapestry needle
Waste yarn or spare needles to hold live sleeve stitches

This top is meant to be worn with 10-20” positive ease.

Notes
This dress is knit in the round from the top down. Short rows are worked across the
back for slight shaping. The yoke is worked with a simple lace and textured motif.
After the yoke is knit, sleeve stitches are put on hold to be picked up and finished after
the body of the dress is complete.
