I started this blanket as a way to lift my spirits during the current lockdown (April 2020) and I intend to keep going with the hexis until the lockdown ends and/or my daughter’s school re-opens.

The hexi pattern is modified from a vintage Golden Hands rug pattern (see image) and I am joining the hexis as I go.

I am using fingering weight yarn and a 3.75mm hook but you can use any weight yarn and corresponding hook you prefer.

There is no gauge or yardage provided for this pattern because you can make the blanket as big or small as you like and with any size yarn but note that my fingering weight hexis are approximately 7.5cm across.

The pattern is provided in UK and US terminology.
