Lobelia Shawl and Shawlette
The Lobelia shawl and shawlette begin at the lacy edging; the crescent is shaped with simple short rows. The lacy lobed leaves look like the petals of a lobelia flower. These shawls make gradient yarns shine, and are also lovely in semi-solid colors. Knit in fingering weight yarn, you may choose either 400 yards/100g for a shawlette, or 575 yards/150g of yarn for a larger shawl.
Shawlette shown in KnitCircus Greatest of Ease in Come What May (gradient pink).
Shawl shown in KnitCircus Thrilling in Starry Night (gradient blue).
Shawl shown in Knitted Wit Shine in Tugboat (semisolid blue). I used a little more than a skein; if you have a single skein of Shine, I’d knit the shawlette version. (I had extra yarn leftover from my Summertime Blues, and was working out the pattern while knitting this prototype.)
