About the Pattern
Lloyd Hat is a nod to my family’s Welsh heritage and evokes the patchwork of fields that blanket the Welsh countryside.
A deep stockinette lining begins the journey and flows seamlessly into the textured outer layer. Once the two sections match in length, they are joined to create a double layer for extra warmth.
The single‑layer crown is then shaped with centered double decreases, allowing the field texture to continue to the top of the hat.
Designed for three sizes in fingering weight yarn, choose a coordinating mini skein for the lining color or use a single color for the entire hat.
Yarn
You will need approximately 136 yds (124 m) / 30 g (Yarn A) and 115 yds (105 m) / 27 g (Yarn B), or a total of 251 yds (230 m) / 57 g of fingering weight yarn.
