This cropped little coat, with the little lapels is too cute. Simple Garter Stitch lays the foundation, and shaping along the front openings and the sides helps to keep it interesting.

Included in the pattern are two sets of instructions. One of the sets is slightly easier to execute, but has seams along the sleeves and sides to work at the end. The second set of instructions is a bit more complicated, but is nearly seamless. Two sets of circular needles are required for the nearly seamless version.

The sleeves are joined to the body at the yoke, but the shaping of the sleeve-cap is like that of set-in sleeves. There are seams at the top of the shoulders to sew at the end for both sets of instructions.
