Little Froggy Toy
This friendly frog features short row shaping, i-cord legs, and webbed feet. It is knit tightly to make a toy that is soft enough to cuddle, but durable enough to be washed. There is an optional bean bag insert and you could also add crinkle paper or a bell to the stuffing.
This pattern is available as part of the Imagination Collection, which includes four animal sweaters (3month - 6T), two toys, photo tutorials, in addition to other links, tips, and tricks.
One fun thing about this frog is the number of little techniques it uses - if you want to learn short rows or i-cord, this is a great little piece to experiment on. The yarn stands up to frogging and reknitting well.
The inspiration for the toy was actually my frog sweater, Ribbit, and a joke of my dad’s one summer when he was surprised by tree frogs in a pool he was building. You only have to say “little froggy,” and my dad and brothers crack up - so I dedicate this pattern to them.
I used an entire ball of the main color (6315 lime green), and about half a ball of the contrast color (7254 sand yellow).
