I think this pattern is a bit funny :) It’s not so difficult as it seems. It make the crochet easier if you print the tutorial and colour the made “rows”.

Ps: I needed 10 minutes to design and crochet the fish but more than 2 hours for the pattern…

Pps: And what is it good for? I don’t know… What is your idea?
