Lisha Lace Scarf
This one-skein, luxury scarf pattern was designed with friendships in mind…It was created and inspired by my friend, Lisha, and uses the beautiful, handpainted yarn of one of my dearest friends, Heather of Mad Color Fiber Arts. My close friend (and fantastic knitter herself), Jackie, was kind enough to model my design and makes the scarf look so lovely.
This scarf would make a wonderful gift for a loving friend, especially a fellow knitter!
UPDATE:
See my new book, “Sleepy Eyes Knits: Dreamscape”, for beautiful, antiqued versions of these pictures!
TIP It seems like the first row that includes the lace pattern itself is a bit confusing, so I thought I’d write it a little differently here…in case this helps : )
Row 1, 3 and 5:
First, work your four seed stitch stitches, slip marker, then do this:
-k2tog, then
-k2, yo, ssk, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, yo, k2, sl1/k2tog/psso, then
-k2, yo, ssk, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, yo, k2, sl1/k2tog/psso, then
-k2, yo, ssk, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, yo, k2, ssk.
Slip marker, work the last 4 seed stitch stitches.
Remembering that the LAST repeat (which is the third, in this case) has the sl1/k2tog/psso replaced entirely by the ssk.
Voila! You’re done with row 1.
Hope this clarifies things a bit!
