One of my favorite hobbies is to paper-and-pencil score book MLB games. Score book keeping has helped me better understand baseball: knowing the players, seeing their growth or slumps, deciphering game strategy, and connecting with my husband and sons. It is so fun! At the ballpark, on TV, on the phone, over the radio…it really doesn’t matter, I am in. My favorite is traveling to other cities, seeing someone wearing a jersey, and recognizing the player because I have scored a game they played.

Keeping a score book has helped me appreciate the line drive as one of the most valuable tools in a well-rounded hitter’s arsenal. Everybody wants to see the home run, but someone who can intentionally make a properly placed line drive can absolutely destroy a defense and throw a pitcher. Line Drive Tank is an homage to this often overlooked, difficult-to-master offensive move. Classic, versatile, timeless… might seem vanilla or old school, but when placed in the right setting, it can steal the show.
