Limpet Cowl was inspired by a short story in which one of the characters ends up covered in barnacles.

This is a freeform crochet design where motifs are crocheted and joined together as the cowl progresses. The base of each finished motif is a hexagon as this shape tessellates well.

Techniques
The motifs are very simple, only single crochets in the round, joined together by single crochets.
