Worked in 5 long panels. Instructions are to overcast panels together and steam the seams; a border is then worked in crochet and a fringe attached.
The pattern calls for 14 4-ounce skeins of knitting worsted weight. When I made this back in the 80s, I made it from 14 skeins of good old Red Heart.
