The Lily Tam and Lily Fingerless Mitts were heavily influenced by a visit to a post modern manufacturer of hand painted pottery and accessories about 40 miles north of my home on the east side of Cayuga Lake.

Worked in the round from the top down, this 3-color tam uses fair-isle knitting plus a few beads, with only a few rounds of intarsia and ends with a brim of corrugated ribbing. It contains charted and line-by-line instructions. No stringing beading too.
Check out this video by Laura Nelkin for the cast on.
