Here is a simple elegant asymmetrical stocking stitch tunic with a pretty beaded rib edging which I originally designed for Knitting Magazine.

The middle section of the tunic top is knitted in the round.

The simplicity of the design would make it perfect for any beginner wanting to knit a garment for the first time and also practice some simple in the round knitting as well as working back and forth on rows.
