Lilly and May are best friends. These loveable dress-up dolls are just the right size to become a special child’s treasured companion

Lilly doll wears a two-tone dress with a bobble knot detail on the skirt, while May doll has a knitted in T-shirt and a textured pinafore dress. (Yes, both dolls are wearing knickers!)

Their knitted hair with coordinated hair bows is very simple to do, and of course it will never become untidy!

Both the dolls and their clothes are knitted flat on standard straight needles and seamed. Basic stitches are uses throughout for the dolls, which are knitted from the head down, the arms and hair are knitted and sewn on later.

Lilly dolls dress has a knot stitch which may challenge beginner or intermediate knitters- however the stocking stitch version of the dress looks lovely and is much simpler. The pattern for the pinafore dress uses knit and purl stitches only, a plain version for this garment is also included.

Lilly and May pattern includes the option to knit the dolls
either with knitted in socks and shoes (no lost shoes this way!) or knit them with bare feet so you can change the shoes to match their outfits, the choice is yours.
