Lil Tamzin
Lil Tamzin is worked from the top down in one piece, absolutely seamlessly using 4-ply / fingering weight yarn. The yoke is knit in Stocking/stockinette stitch and then a simple textured stitch is used for the main body.
The cardigan is worked flat until the armholes, at which point it is divided for sleeves and body. The body is then finished flat from the armholes to its garter hem and the sleeves are worked in the round.
No finishing is required apart from weaving in ends and sewing on the buttons.
Although the cardigan is classed as an intermediate pattern, it is really suitable for an advanced beginner, prepared to tackle a garment, with all the techniques and stitch patterns clearly explained in the pattern.
There is an adult version of the pattern, available here.
DIFFICULTY
Intermediate – knit, purl, simple increases and decreases, and simple finishing
