Light Waves is a relaxed-fit camisole style crochet vest top with wide straps and a square neckline. It’s worked top down with no sewing, using a gentle, lacy ripple stitch pattern.

Skills Used
This is an experienced beginner to intermediate level pattern which assumes knowledge of basic crochet stitches, techniques and terminology.
You will be working in rows and turned rounds in a two row ripple stitch pattern. A stitch diagram and schematic are included with the PDF pattern. There is also a photo guide to help you with the top-down construction.

Materials
You will require a 4.5mm crochet hook (or size needed to match gauge) and approximately 480(550, 580, 620, 680, 770, 800, 830, 860) metres of 4 ply / fingering weight yarn.

The main sample pictured in the construction tutorial used 100% pure silk singles 4 ply weight yarn from Yarn Tings, 100g=400m.
The shades used were: Yarn A: Faves and Yarn B: That’s Deep
If you are making the two colour version, you will need just over half the amount of Yarn A as Yarn B if you follow the same colourwork pattern, though the proportion will vary somewhat with the size chosen. In the size Small sample, I used about 50g of Yarn A and about 85g of Yarn B.

The pink sample pictured used Fyberspates Scrumptious 4 ply in shade Baby Pink, 45% silk, 55% wool, 100g=365m.

Sizing
The pattern is offered in 9 women’s sizes from XS-5XL with a finished bust measurement of 90-180cm / 36-72in. The vest top is a relaxed - oversized fit, with 15-20cm positive ease in the bust (varying by size). Detailed measurements are included in the pattern, including a schematic.

The pattern is written in English using standard US crochet terms.
