I call this a Light Cardigan because it is comfortable in all weather, including spring and summer (in airconditioning)

This easy cardigan is knitted top down with raglan increases. Increases for fronts are worked every 4th row, and increases for sleeves and back are worked every 2nd row.
Sleeve stitches are put on waste yarn and body is worked with optional increases below armholes to give the cardigan a little flare.
Sleeves are added and worked top down.
Optional buttons can be added and buttonhole openings can be stitched directly onto the garment with leftover yarn, because yarn is so flexible.

Perfect pattern for beginner sweater knitters. Stitches required are Knit, Purl, and yarnover increases. Optional Short Rows to lengthen back, and knowledge of SSK and K2tog if you want to taper the sleeves.
