Lichtenstein Mini Solid Square
Named and inspired by the famous 1960’s pop art artist, Roy Lichtenstein, this pattern incorporates a dot and solid bold colours which would add interest to any finished design.
Multi-colour granny squares are a great way to use up small amounts of yarn left over from other projects and the basic square motif does not require advanced skills to execute.
Designed as part 5 of the KCACO-UK Groovyghan CAL 2016
Pattern is written in UK and US terms and includes explanations of all stitches and abbreviations.
Yarn:
8ply / yarn weight #3 or #4
Each square roughly uses up 16 yds (15 m / 5 g) / Total squares 128 yds (120 m / 80 g)
6 tr/dc sts or 2 clusters = 1.5 inches / 3.8 cm
Finished block size: 2.5 x 2.5 inches / 6.4 x 6.4 cm
Hook: 4mm (US size G)
