My mom made the best boysenberry pies! When I was about five years old, my mom would send my sister and me out to our backyard during the spring to pick fresh boysenberries growing on the vines. My dad had built a lattice out of wood stakes and wire for the plant to climb. The cable and leaf motif used in the Liana socks remind me of vines carrying the juicy berries while crawling up the homemade lattice. As an adult, I long to go back in time for one more taste of that delicious pie!
