You will receive a 4-page PDF with line by line instructions (US terminology) and a chart to make a 10” square. Pictures of the front and back of a finished square are included.

You will crochet 36 squares (6 of each color) then join them to create a square throw blanket (60” x 60”).

The Locked Filet Mesh (LFM) crochet method uses only chain spaces and double crochets to create a mesh which is interwoven as you go. The two colors are worked in alternate rows to create the pattern. The picture is an edited example of what your blanket could look like, not an actual completed project.

You Will Need Worsted weight yarn (4464 yards total)
• Main Color (MC) - Black (2052 yards + 360 yard for border/ joining = 2412 yards)
• Accent Colors (AC)
o Red (342 yards)
o Orange (343 yards)
o Yellow (342 yards)
o Green (342 yards)
o Blue (342 yards)
o Purple (343 yards)

I use a 4.5 mm hook for my projects.

Alternate Blanket Sizes
• Note: each square uses about 57 yards each of MC and AC, plus an extra 10 yards MC for border and joining

Baby / Receiving blanket: 40” x 40” = 16 squares
Toddler blanket: 40” x 60” = 24 squares
Throw blanket: 60” x 60” = 36 squares (yardage listed is for this size)
Small blanket: 60” x 100” = 60 squares
Large blanket: 100” x 100” = 100
