Once the autumn comes to beach towns, a peace settles on them. The light and water seem to take on a subtly different quality at this time of year. Lewis Bay was inspired by an early November trip to the beautiful village of Hyannis on Cape Cod. A triangular shawl in two sizes, the shawl is worked from the bottom lace edging to the neck. The beauty of the construction is that all stitches are cast on and gradually reduced to a few stitches which are then grafted together at the top-center edge.
The lace pattern is both written and charted.
