The Level up shawl is knitted from the bottom tip up to the top edge in easy garter stitches. Besides the openness of the fabric created with kind of a broom stick knitting needles, it’s the finishing touches that makes this shawl special.

A special multicolored yarn gets applied easily all around the triangle with a crochet hook. The tail end gets braided and creates a loop at the bottom of the shawl. Of course you can also just let the end of it hang down straight, if you prefer.

The shawl measures 68” in overall length and 26” in middle height, plus the braided detail.
The pattern is fully written.

Yarn used
C1 - Recycled cotton flat tape yarn in a bulky weight. 146 yards/150 grams.
C2 - Special skein in a bulky weight with 6 colors in a cotton/Acrylic yarn.

Notions needed
US size 50 (25 mm) circular needle 36” (91 cm) in length.
Crochet hook size I (10 mm) for finishing.

Gauge 4 sts and 8 rows in 4” of garter stitch with C1.

Techniques applied
Knitting, increasing, stretchy bind off, weaving in ends, blocking.
With crochet hook frame the entire shawl with an easy stitch and braid the bottom detail.
