Gauge in st st is indicated as the Dunes Stitch can prove tricky to measure, especially on a swatch.
As this garment is designed to be worn with a lot of positive ease, accurate gauge is not absolutely crucial.

Construction
Dunes’ front pieces and bands are worked flat from the bottom up then shaped to form the back neckline. Band stitches are put on hold for assembling later. Right and left front are joined so that the back is worked from the top down. It is shaped with center decreases to reduce bulk, then worked straight and finally shaped with short rows at the hem. Stitches are picked up to work the sleeves in the round. The sides of the garment under the sleeves remain open, creating beautiful movements of the panels. Sleek selvedge stitches ensure an impeccable finish.
