A lovely circular shawl pattern that originally featured in Love Crochet magazine, Issue 36.

The shawl can be used in the traditional sense or alternatively, and my personal preference, as a baby blanket.

I have made two samples of the shawl for the pattern, both using aran weight yarn but both with different gauge (thus no listed gauge) - the Buddy Hemp yarn works up quite a bit chunkier than Cascade 220. However, you can use any yarn in this pattern and it will work, just use a corresponding hook for your yarn and expect a slightly different finished size.

Cream Cascade 220 version finished diameter: 100cm
Red Buddy Hemp version finished diameter: 110cm.

The pattern is written in both UK and US terminology and I provide the details for both samples (yarn weights, colours, order) but essentially you will need approximately:

4 x 100g of any aran weight yarn for the main body
5 x 50g of any aran weight yarn for the border
