I love the range of hues and shades a color-shifting yarn cake provides, and I wanted to explore how to have the colors mirror image in the finished piece rather than starting with one color and ending with another. A möbius cast on gave me just what I was looking for, with the colors flowing in both directions from a center cast on, and, as an added bonus, a twist adds visual interest. Because a möbius piece does not have consistent right and wrong sides, a reversible stitch pattern results in a finished piece that is lovely no matter how it falls.
