Leitmotif is a large, drapey triangle shawl featuring an all-over double eyelet diamond pattern. The center portion of the shawl is worked flat from the bottom up, with the border knitted on and worked in the round to finish.

Yarn:
The prototype was made using two skeins of Baa Ram Ewe Winterburn DK in Aire (main color) and one skein in Chevin (border color).

Skill Level:
Adventurous beginner to intermediate. The pattern uses simple techniques, but the unusual construction will make this an interesting project even for advanced knitters.

Skills Needed:
Knit, purl, yarn over, double yarn over, basic increases (kfb, pfb), basic decreases (k2tog, ssk).
