After blocking

Gauge:
21 sts = 4”; 26 rows = 4” with US Size 5 (3.75 mm) knitting needles in Stockinette stitch, after blocking.

Notes:
The edges of the hood (the part worked flat) will be sewn to the edge of the scarf at a certain point: exactly where the scarf measure 14” (see schematic).
In order to work the keyhole you will knit the first flap, leave the stitches rest on knitting needle and then go back to the first row of the flap and pick up new stitches to work the second flap.
To close the two flaps and go on working the scarf, you will work two knitting needles together in the LH.
