“Left Twisted and Broken” is named after the stitch combination used to create this textured and warm beanie. The border stitch is a Left Twist Rib and the main panel is stockinette Broken with left twist accents. The instructions include the directions to make your own fur pom-pom.
Yarn: 8ply/DK 160-200m of Drops Merino
Needles/gauge: 4mm 40cm in length and 3.75 circulars 40cm length, plus 4mm DPN’s, Addi Crasytrios or a 4mm circular cable long enough to magic loop.
Notions:
8 stitch markers (one in a distinctive colour or design).
Darning needle.
15cm square of faux fur.
13mm metal press stud.
Strong thread.
Sharp pointed scissors.
Small amount of hobby fill
Gauge: 10cm = 24 sts x 30 rows in body pattern knitted in the round and lightly blocked. The smaller needles should be one size smaller than your gauge needles and are used for the rib borders as indicated.
Stitch legend:
Co: Cast on.
Sts: Stitches.
Sm: Slip marker.
K: Knit.
P: Purl.
k2LT: Knit two with a left twist
K2tog: Knit two stitches together
