The Leevi sweater is designed to have a relaxed fit with approx. 20 cm of positive ease. If you want a more fitting garment I suggest knitting a smaller size making it longer. Note that this may affect the yardage.

The Leevi sweater is worked top down seamlessly. First you work the top of the back and pick up stitches for the fronts. The fronts are first worked flat separately and then joined together forming an opening for the neck. Later the front and back will be joined together and the rest of the sweater is worked in the round. Stitches for the sleeves are then picked up and the sleeves are worked in the round. Stitches for the neck line are picked up from the neck opening and also worked in the round.
