Least Common Scarf
This rectangular scarf is as much a mathematical exercise as anything else: what does it look like when you have two different types of striping (one in texture, one in color) progressing with two different repeats?
(More practically speaking, it’s a great way to use up some novelty yarn and get a bit of subtle sparkle into a scarf.)
Any worsted weight yarn will work well for the primary yarn in this scarf. About 330 / 520 yards of this yarn are needed, depending on scarf length. And, any ladder or thin ribbon yarn will work for the carry-along sparkliness. About 150 / 250 yards of this novelty yarn are needed, depending on scarf length.
Only knitting and purling, casting on, and casting off are needed to execute this pattern.
