Leancholia
by Mary Hough
This is a lace sock knit from the toe up, with a slip stitch heel flap. There are 2 sizes, Small, 56 stitch leg, and Medium, 64 stitch leg. There is an option for doing the toe in an eye of partridge stitch. - Note - this pattern is VERY stretchy.
Leancholia is a four-eyed arachnomorph arthropod known from the Cambrian Burgess shale. It was about 5cm long and had long, whip-like feelers mounted on frontal arm-like appendages.
