This shawlette was the inspiration of our friend Lisa and the request of my shop-owner friend Tina. She really wanted a crescent shaped shawlette with a leaf that was easy to knit and fairly quick. We chose the lovely Misti Alpaca Chunky which washed and blocked into a lightweight, warm, and lovely shawlette.
This shawl is lightly crescent shaped, knit from side to side across the width, increased using knit 1 front and backs, and decreased using knit 2 together. It is easy enough for a beginner and yet offers enough challenge and interest for more advanced knitters.
This pattern is meant for adventurous novice knitters to experienced knitters and all those in-between. Please read the entire pattern before beginning.
