These modern mittens are worked in the round from the cuff up, in three colors of fingering weight yarn. They feature a geometric design inspired by the art of painter Agnes Martin and are named after her 1963 abstract painting Leaf in the Wind.

Finished (Blocked) Measurements:
Hand circumference: Size S/M 8.5 inches/22 cm; Size L 9.5 inches/24 cm
Length: Size S/M 9.25 inches/23.5 cm; Size L 10.5 inches/26.5 cm from cast-on to bind-off

Approximate Yardage:
Color A: 140 (155) yards/128 (142) m fingering weight yarn

The size S/M sample was knit with Cascade 220 fingering 100% Peruvian Highland wool; 273 yd/250 m per 50 gr skein, one skein each of #9591 Buff (Color A), #9593 Ginseng (Color B), and #9602 Soft Sage (Color C).

When choosing colors, choose three distinct tones—one light (Color A), one medium (Color C), and one dark (Color B).
