My passion for nature manifests itself in my knitting designs where the simple leaf symbolises the need for care and protection. I continue to be inspired by nature’s creations, by conjuring designs that signify the need to protect the earth. The scarf with its cables tenderly cradling the leaves reflect my concern for the environment.
Using the intarsia method of knitting, the two tails of the scarf are worked separately to look identical and joined in the middle with ribbing and Kitchener stitch.
Each leaf in the scarf uses approximately 2.5 yds. of yarn.

A hat called the Leaf Cradling Cables Hat pattern can be found among my designs to match this scarf
