L’inspiration pour le patron de chaussettes Le Gui m’est venue en 2019, lorsque j’ai créé ma première paire de chaussettes de Noël. À ce moment, la technique du jacquard était utilisée… J’ai donc laissé cette idée de côté en me disant que pour l’édition 2020, je reprendrais le Gui, iconographie conventionnelle de Noël depuis très longtemps, sous une autre forme qui est aujourd’hui devenue de la broderie! Je vous propose deux versions d’un même patron dans ce présent PDF., laissez donc place à votre imagination!

NIVEAU BRODERIE
Débutant (chaussette)-intermédiaire (broderie). Prenez note que j’ai pris bien soin de vous fournir une vidéo détaillée pour chacune des étapes afin que vous puissez réussir la broderie à votre tour.

VERSIONS DU PATRON
Ce patron comporte 2 versions, soit la version A et la version B. Vous pouvez mélanger les versions si vous le désirez. Par exemple, tricoter la broderie de la version A, mais vous préférez le talon de la version B et vice et versa.

MATÉRIEL
Laine : Fibre Carpe Diem, Pura fingering, 75% superwash BFL – 25% nylon, 363 m/400yds/100g. Vous aurez besoin – les quantités indiquées sont pour réaliser une version du patron, pour faire les deux versions, doublez les deux couleurs!
ATTENTION, si vous n’avez pas l’intention de tricoter talon et orteils en contrastant, vous aurez besoin seulement de 20g de la couleur contrastante pour les deux versions
• 1 écheveau de la couleur principale (coloris passion)
• 20 g / 70 mètres de la couleur contrastante (coloris vert Noël).
Aiguilles: 2.25 mm/US1, en mini-circulaires, doubles pointes ou avec la méthode du magic-loop.
Notez que le patron est écrit pour tricoter avec les aiguilles mini-circulaires.
Marqueurs : 1 mDébut, puis 1 marqueur secondaire.
Bloqueurs à bas.

ÉCHANTILLON
Avec les aiguilles circulaires 2.25 mm/US1, 36 mailles x 48 rangs en jersey endroit pour obtenir un carré de 4 po x 4 po / 10 cm x 10 cm. Faites tremper et bloquez légèrement.

The inspiration for Le Gui sock pattern came to me in 2019, when I created my first pair of Christmas socks. At that time, I used the fair isle technique but patterns were coming out using the same idea… So I left this idea aside, telling myself that for the 2020 edition, I would use the Mistletoe, conventional iconography of Christmas for a very long time, in another form. And so to pursuit my passion for embroidery, i figured ‘’why not’’? I can’t wait to see what your imagination leads you!

EMBROIDERY LEVEL
Beginner (sock)-Intermidiate (embroidery). Take not I took good care of joining a video tutorial I made for the embroidery so you could make it your own succesfuly.

VERSIONS OF THIS PATTERN
This pattern has 2 versions, version A and version B. You can mix the versions if you wish. For example, knit the embroidery of version A, but you prefer the heel of version B and vice versa.

REQUIRED MATERIAL
Yarn : Fibre Carpe Diem, Pura fingering, 75% superwash BFL – 25% nylon, 363 m/400 yds/100 g. You will need – the quantities indicated are to make one version of the pattern, to make both versions, double the two colors! :
WARNING, if you do not intend to knit heel and toe in contrast, you will only need 20g of the contrasting color for both versions
• 1 skein of the main color (I used Passion)
• 70 m/77 yds/20 g of the constrating color (I used Vert Noël)
Needles : 2.25 mm/US1, in mini-circulars, double pointed needles or in magic-loop.
This pattern is written to be worked with mini-circulars.
Markers : 1 beg. of round and 1 secondary marker.
Sock blockers.

SWATCH
Using 2.25 mm/US1 mini-circular needles, work 36 stitches x 48 rounds in stockinette. Adjust needle size, if necessary, to obtain 4 in x 4 in / 10 cm x 10 cm. Soak and gently block.
