The Laura sweater for kids is a unisex sweater specially designed the little ones. It is worked seamlessly top down. First, the neck is worked (the pattern includes options for a folded or simple ribbing). Then a series of increases are made along the yoke until the sleeves and body are divided at the underam, which also includes two options (longer back or back and part of the front of the same length). The sleeves are put on hold when the yoke increases are finished and are worked top down with an extra long cuff.

This jumper is suitable for beginners and a great project for the experienced knitters who want to knit a perfectly constructed basic sweater.

All measurements in this pattern are based on standard pattern measurements, but each kid is different. Choose the size based not only on the age, but also on the final chest circumference.
As for the lengths, work the sleeves and the body as long as you need. The instructions offer standard measurement guidelines. If you are between sizes choose the larger size, kids grow fast!
